Keeping Sanger Connected: Making It Easier to Know Where to Turn

One of the things we have heard repeatedly while talking with residents throughout Sanger is a simple but important concern:
“Who do I call when I have a problem?”
For many residents, knowing where to turn when there is an issue with a street, water service, code enforcement, public safety, etc., isn’t always easy. Residents sometimes have to navigate a complicated system just to find the right person or department to contact.
That is why we are working on a new community resource: Keeping Sanger Connected.
Our goal is to make important contact information and community resources easier for Sanger residents to find.
One Place to Help You Find the Right Place
We have compiled publicly available information from City of Sanger resources to create an easy-to-use guide for residents.
We know this information already exists in many places. The challenge is making it easy to find, easy to understand, and accessible to the people who need it.
Communication Is Part of Transparency
We believe transparency isn’t just about making information available.
Transparency also means making information accessible.
A resident shouldn’t have to search through multiple webpages, know the name of a particular department, or understand how city government is organized before they can figure out where to ask for help.
Good communication means making it easier for residents to connect with their local government and participate in their community.
This project is one small step toward that goal.
Help Us Keep the Information Accurate
The information in this guide has been compiled from publicly available resources, including information provided by the City of Sanger.
We recognize that information can change.
Phone numbers can change. Departments can move. Staff assignments can change. Websites can be outdated or information may remain online after it is no longer current.
If you find information in our guide that is outdated, incorrect, or no longer in service, please let us know.
We will do our best to verify the information and bring outdated or incorrect information forward so that it can be corrected.
Our goal is to help create a culture of open communication, accountability, and community involvement.
A Resource for Everyone
This resource is about being a Sanger resident and knowing where to turn when you need help, have a question, or want to make your voice heard.
Whether you have lived in Sanger your entire life or have recently become part of our community, you deserve to know how to connect with the people and services that serve you.
Our community deserves transparency. And transparency starts with open communication.
We hope Keeping Sanger Connected will become a useful resource for Sanger residents and a project that continues to grow with your help.
If you see something that needs to be corrected or updated, please let us know. Together, we can help keep Sanger connected. ❤️
